Security by Disaggregation: Reducing Attack Surface
A repository you can't reach is a repository you can't attack.
Traditional backup platforms often require multiple open ports and direct connectivity between sites, creating a massive lateral movement path for attackers. Sendense is designed around disaggregation—separating management, data movement, and storage to minimize what is reachable on the network.
Outbound-Only
Remote sites never require inbound firewall rules. Appliances establish secure, outbound-only tunnels to the hub.
Isolated Repositories
Keep your backup storage in a locked-down zone, invisible to the production networks being protected.
Single Port exposure
Only a single port (443) needs to be exposed at your central hub. All data transfer, management, and orchestration flow through this encrypted tunnel. This surgically restricted topology makes it impossible for normal, widely used attack vectors to reach your backups via the network.
Secure Enrollment
Trust is earned, not assumed. Every site and appliance must be explicitly enrolled via time-limited secure tokens. Access can be revoked instantly, ensuring that even if a remote site is compromised, your central repository remains shielded.
